Silicone Engineering Limited Sponsors Th'Arctic expedition
Silicone Engineering Limited is delighted to announce we are sponsoring Rebecca Mcknights expedition to the Arctic. Rebecca Mcknight is a Visual artist and Filmmaker currently at The University of Salford.
Rebecca is currently training for her Arctic expedition. Here is Rebecca's view on the arctic Expedition:
"Th'Arctic is a live arts project that explores issues of human identity, environment and communication. This proposal supports a 350-mile artist expedition between the two highest communities in the world, an interactive artist blog, exhibition and artist events at Cornerhouse and artist talks in the two Arctic communities as a method of knowledge acquisition and sharing."
Rebecca will keep her blog up to date on her expedition by satellite phone. The equipment is being supplied by Human Edge Technology who specialise in Extreme weather Equipment. As Rebecca travels through the Arctic she will share her experiences and discoveries through her Blog.
