kSil™
Silicone rubber sheeting
kSil™ offers all the resilience and versatility of silicone rubber.
It is ideal for industries where adverse temperatures are an issue or where an inert, robust polymer is required.
Silicone Engineering’s kSil™ silicone rubber products offer you many value added benefits
These include increased yield, enhanced dimensional controls and a smooth and consistent finish.
The kSil™range of sheeting offers longevity, unrivalled assurance and excellent sealing capabilities.
Over the years Silicone Engineering have developed a wide range of kSil™ silicone rubber sheeting to support the requirements of many diverse applications and market sectors.
Silicone Engineering will supply a material to suit your specific needs.
Silicone Engineering insertion calender extends its rubber sheeting capabilities to include fabric such as glass cloth, polyester and Nomex® to be coated in the kSil™ range of solid materials.
This can be produced in a variety of constructions with a combination of supported and unsupported, with both cured and uncured silicone.
The kSil™ solid silicone rubber sheet is available in Shore A hardness - from 40 (soft) to 70 (Hard).
The kSil™ FDA range complies with industry standards, such as those granted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS), as well as the EU framework directive EC1935/2004.
The kSil™ sponge silicone rubber sheet range is offered in densities ranging from 200 kg/m3 (very soft) to 530 kg/m3 (Firm) and is available in white, red and dark grey.
There is a limited colour matching service available on sponge products (due to the cellular properties of sponge materials).
kSil™ silicone rubber sheeting can also be supplied with special grades such as Flame Retardant (FR) and Low Smoke Low Toxicity (LCH).
Silicone Engineering has developed kSil™VAC to produce the lamination vacuum forming membranes used in the manufacture of solar panels.
This specially formulated material provides excellent elongation and high tear properties, which increases the production lifecycles of the lamination process far longer than those experienced by organic polymers.
Silicone Engineering can supply kSil™VAC sheeting up to 1800mm wide, up to 4mm thick, with roll lengths supplied to customer requirements.
In addition to the membrane sheets, there is a wide range of bespoke silicone solutions to service the requirements of the renewable energies sector.
These include precision made extruded silicone profiles and section, seals and gaskets and insulated cables.
